Who is the NAHB and what do they do?

National Association of Home Builders - NAHB

The National Association of Home Builders was set up in 1942 and since then has been serving its NAHB members, the housing industry, and the public at large.

The National Association of Home Builders is a trade association that helps promote the policies that make housing a national priority.

The NAHB focuses on the following goals:

  • Promoting public awareness of the importance of housing and those who provide it.
  • Advocating balanced national legislative, regulatory, and judicial public policy.
  • A resource for building industry information, education, research, and technical expertise.
  • Improved business performance of NAHB members and NAHB affiliates.
